Local food relief resources are available to people who have been displaced by the recent fires in northern California:
- Food for People’s Network of countywide Food Pantries are making emergency bags available to anyone who identifies as an evacuee.
Our Children’s Summer Lunch Program is operating at designated sites through August 24th, and is an additional resource for families with children.
- DHHS and OES are also encouraging evacuees to call the evacuation information line at 707-441-5000.
- People receiving CalFresh are able to use their benefits no matter where they are. If they have lost their EBT card or no longer have an address to send information to, they can call the DHHS Call Center at 1-877-410-8809 for assistance. Food for People’s Outreach staff is also available as needed to respond to questions. Heidi McHugh can be reached at 707-445-3166 x308 or at firstname.lastname@example.org and Juan Miranda, our bilingual Outreach Specialist can be reached at 707-445-3166 x318 or email@example.com.
