Humboldt Holiday Food Drive 2025

State Senate Leader Mike McGuire has teamed up with Food For People, KHUM radio and six local high schools for the tenth annual Humboldt Holiday Food Drive on December 11 from 3-6 pm at Safeway in Eureka.

High School students organize their own fundraisers, collecting food and financial donations from their community starting November 4th. The high schools that collect the most non-perishable food and the most funds each are awarded the “Golden Can” trophy.

In 2024, the 9th annual Humboldt Holiday Food Drive collected a bringing in a whopping 45,019 pounds of food and just over $56,000 to support the life-changing work of Food for People, Humboldt County’s food bank.. This year, students and the community are preparing for an even bigger response from their neighbors. You can contribute through each school’s fundraising page here.
