Salmon Cream Cheese Dip/Spread

Ingredients:

  • 1 — 14.75 ounce can salmon, drained

  • 6 ounces pain or Greek yogurt (or 8 ounces cream cheese, softened)

  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

  • Ground black pepper to taste

  • TOPPINGS

    • 2 tablespoons chives, dill or other herb, minced or dried

    • Minced or thinly sliced celery, onions, carrots, or other fresh vegetable

    • Pickles or pickle relish, optional

    • For a smokey salmon dip, consider adding smoked salt, smoked seaweed or smoked paprika, optional

Directions:

1. Make the salmon spread by combining salmon, yogurt or cream cheese, lemon juice, minced onions and pepper in a bowl, until fully incorporated.

2. Add in the pickles, pickle relish, chives or herbs as a garnish.

3. Serve as a dip with veggies like celery sticks, carrot sticks, or green pepper strips for dipping or spread on bread, crackers or tortillas.
